Forest fire in Möriken-Wildegg AG extinguished
A forest fire in Möriken-Wildegg AG was brought under control by firefighters on Saturday evening.
Late Saturday evening, a fire broke out in a forest area at Chestenberg in Möriken-Wildegg AG. The firefighting effort lasted about two and a half hours to extinguish the flames that raged on the dry forest floor.
Witnesses reported dense smoke visible above Chestenberg as several fire departments worked to contain the blaze. Footage from News-Scouts documented the smoke development in the region.
According to reports, an area of approximately 500 square meters of forest was damaged by the fire. The firefighters managed to prevent the spread of the blaze.
