France has implemented a new law prohibiting unsolicited commercial calls, which has been in effect since Tuesday. The legislation, approved by the French parliament in May 2025, requires companies to obtain prior consent from consumers before engaging in telemarketing.

Despite the new measure, experts warn that the ban may not completely eliminate phone scams, as some companies could continue to circumvent these rules.
