Frente Amplio has proposed Ada Colau as its candidate for the presidency in the general elections scheduled for November 29. This nomination is supported by Izquierda Unida (IU), Comuns, Más Madrid, and Movimiento Sumar. However, the constituency in which Colau will lead the candidacy has not been specified.

This agreement follows the pact between Gabriel Rufián of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC) and Irene Montero of Podemos regarding the elections. The parties that make up the coalition have expressed their desire to unite all left-wing forces, including Podemos, to facilitate a common front.

Meanwhile, Podemos has responded to Frente Amplio's proposal. Instead of accepting the invitation, it has invited Frente Amplio to join its own alliance with ERC. Comuns has indicated that all options are being explored to find an understanding among the involved parties.

Furthermore, Montero has stated that Podemos will not integrate into Frente Amplio, raising questions about the viability of an agreement between the two groups. Despite this, the call for unity from Frente Amplio remains in effect.

The four parties that are part of Frente Amplio have called for coordination and unity among all left-wing groups, expressing the intention to work together for the upcoming elections. However, Podemos's stance against integration complicates this initiative.

The debate over electoral coordination among left-wing forces continues as the deadline approaches for registering coalitions with the Junta Electoral Central. With only a few days left until this deadline, the situation within the left bloc remains uncertain.
