The Government has defended the establishment of the Chinese group SAIC's plant in Ferrol, asserting that it will contribute to national security. According to government sources, conditions can be established for SAIC's operations in the region with the same objective of ensuring national protection.
For its part, SAIC has supported the project, stating that it will be carried out in a way that safeguards national security. This project is being developed in an area where Navy vessels participate in NATO missions and are equipped with American radars.
