Government Keeps Petrol and Diesel Prices Unchanged
The government has retained petrol and diesel prices as of August 11, maintaining current rates amid fluctuating prices.

The government has announced that the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel will remain unchanged as of August 11. Petrol will continue to be sold at Rs327.62 per litre, while high-speed diesel will cost Rs380.86 per litre.
This decision follows the absence of published Platts prices on August 10, which typically inform fuel pricing adjustments. The Petroleum Division’s notification confirmed that the new prices will take effect on the specified date.
Since March, the government has cut excise duty by ₹10 per litre but has not introduced any further reductions in fuel prices. Current taxation includes Rs114 per litre in taxes and duties on petrol and Rs100 per litre on high-speed diesel.
