Government plans to increase Central Bank reserves before the 2027 elections
Argentina is expected to increase its reserves by US$ 10 billion before the 2027 elections, according to the Deputy Minister of Economy.

Deputy Minister of Economy José Luis Daza announced that Argentina's Central Bank will purchase at least an additional US$ 10 billion before the 2027 elections. Daza noted that the country is expected to enter the elections with US$ 20 billion more in reserves than in 2025.
According to Daza, this strategy aims to improve the country's financial conditions compared to last year. The official emphasized that business leaders have requested to maintain economic stability and proceed with reducing export taxes.
The statements came amid growing public distrust towards the financial system, highlighted by Daza's comment on people's willingness to risk their assets in the face of insecurity.
