At Rossio in Lisbon, thousands of protesters set up tents to advocate for the right to housing. The demonstration began on Saturday, and according to reports, the decision to continue the camp was made during a community assembly late that afternoon.

Several tents remained erected at Praça D. Pedro IV after 12:30 AM, despite a police appeal for participants to disperse. The protest focused on defending the right to housing and resulted in an overnight encampment where demonstrators spent the night.

In parallel, in the city of Porto, protesters at Praça D. João I decided to stay overnight without setting up tents. This action also aims to draw attention to housing policies, although their overnight arrangements differed from those in Lisbon.

Reports indicate that although the number of protesters has decreased in recent hours, the number of tents at Rossio has increased compared to the previous night. This apparent contradiction reflects the determination of participants to continue the fight for housing rights.

Meanwhile, the police issued a warning regarding the disobedience of protesters who remained camped past the designated hours. Despite this warning, most protesters in Porto chose to maintain their occupation of the square, ignoring the admonitions.

The mobilization by both groups of protesters has drawn attention and is generating discussions about the housing crisis in their respective cities. The movement seeks to emphasize the need for more effective housing policies.
