Workers from the bars on CP trains participated in a strike that, according to available information, achieved a 95% participation rate. The aim of the strike was to protest for better working conditions and contractual improvements.
In Lisbon, the participation in the strike was below 90%. According to a union leader, this discrepancy is due to the presence of more workers with precarious employment contracts.
On the other hand, in Porto, the participation was nearly complete, reflecting a stronger commitment from workers in that region.
The strikers' demands mainly focus on labor conditions and the pursuit of better work agreements, which has created a tense atmosphere in the operations of the train bars.
