Israel evacuates UN center for Palestinians in East Jerusalem
Israeli police have evacuated a training center run by UNRWA, marking an escalation in tensions.

On August 25, Israeli police carried out an evacuation operation at a vocational training center located in East Jerusalem, which is managed by UNRWA, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees.
This evacuation comes amid rising tensions, particularly following statements from Israel's Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, who expressed his intention to remove the agency from the site.

The center, established in 1952, provides vocational training each year to 340 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank, thereby enhancing their employability in a conflict-ridden region.
Israeli authorities appear to be intensifying their actions against UNRWA, raising concerns among members of the international community who support the services provided by the agency.
