Javed Akhtar has criticized Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari following remarks made during the country's Independence Day celebrations. Zardari stated that people in India believe in the concept of 'Akhand Bharat' and suggested that Muslims in Pakistan are more tolerant towards minorities, specifically mentioning Hindus.

Akhtar expressed his disapproval of Zardari's use of the term 'tolerate' when referring to Hindus, finding it particularly insensitive. He posted a comment on social media platforms highlighting the troubling nature of such language.

In his post, Akhtar also referenced Zardari's notorious nickname, 'Mr 10%', suggesting a connection between the President's reputation and his remarks about religious minorities in Pakistan.
