Kaja Kallas, the EU's foreign affairs representative, has announced that sanctions against Russia are set to be expanded. This measure comes in light of the ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine and aims to increase pressure on Moscow.

According to Kallas, the most comprehensive sanctions list since the beginning of the war will be presented in the fall. This list is expected to significantly increase the number of sanctioned Russian individuals, companies, and organizations.

Kallas indicated that the number of sanctioned entities could rise by one-third if the proposal is approved. However, the details and specific measures of the new round of sanctions have not yet been disclosed.

The expansion of sanctions is part of the EU's ongoing efforts to formulate a clear response to Russian aggression in Ukraine. Kallas made this statement in an interview with the German daily newspaper "Die Welt."
