Kassio Nunes Marques, president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), told ambassadors that elections in Brazil are considered a global model of security and efficiency. The statement was made during a meeting at the TSE headquarters on Monday, October 17, attended by representatives from 86 countries.

During the meeting, Nunes Marques also announced the creation of a crisis room in collaboration with digital platforms, which will operate on the weekends of the first and second rounds of the elections this year. This initiative aims to ensure the effectiveness of the electoral process in the face of potential issues that may arise during voting.

Nunes Marques highlighted the importance of the press, stating that journalistic coverage is essential for democracy and the electoral process. He made this remark during the inauguration of the Election Dissemination Center (CDE), a space created at the TSE to facilitate the work of journalists covering the elections in October.

The TSE president emphasized that a free and participatory press is a hallmark of democracy, underscoring the crucial role journalists play in informing the public during the electoral period.

The meeting with the ambassadors aimed to present the security mechanisms and oversight implemented in the elections, as well as to demonstrate the operation of the electronic voting machine used in Brazil.

These actions are part of a broader strategy by the TSE to ensure transparency and security in the electoral process, measures designed to enhance the confidence of the international community in the Brazilian elections.
