A Lufthansa Airbus A380 landed too early at Munich Airport on Monday evening, the airline confirmed. A total of 351 passengers were on board the aircraft, which they were able to exit without injury.

According to reports, the incident occurred as the aircraft touched down before the actual runway threshold. The Superjumbo struck a part of the runway lighting, resulting in damage to at least one light.

Incidents at Munich Airport have been increasing, as just a few days prior, a Boeing Dreamliner from Vietnam Airlines experienced a near catastrophic accident while landing under similar conditions. Details of this incident have not yet been published.

The investigation into the exact causes of today's incident has begun. Authorities in Munich have been informed of the event, while experts will evaluate the lighting system and runway conditions.

In recent weeks, there have been several reports of unsafe landings at this airport. During this time, both passengers and airport staff have called for increased awareness of safety issues. Disruptions to flight operations could result if solutions are not found in a timely manner.

Lufthansa has announced its intention to gather and assess all relevant information regarding this incident to prevent similar occurrences in the future. In the meantime, further safety checks and staff training will be conducted.
