Luis Galarreta to present government policy before the Chamber of Deputies on August 20

Luis Galarreta, Cabinet Chief, has proposed to the Chamber of Deputies to present and discuss the government's general policy on August 20. During this presentation, Galarreta will detail the main measures that will guide the administration of President Keiko Fujimori.

The premier will attend Congress along with his cabinet to carry out this presentation. It is noteworthy that, under the new rules of the bicameral Congress, this presentation will not be subject to a vote of confidence.

Additionally, it has been determined that the representative week of the Chamber of Deputies will take place from August 24 to 28. This will be the first representative week corresponding to the new bicameral format of Congress.

The Board of Spokespersons agreed on these dates during a session held on August 11, in accordance with the stipulated legislative procedures.
