A project has been launched in Moscow to install charging stations for electric cars at the buildings of central heating supply units (ЦТП). These heat centers are located in the courtyards of apartment buildings. The initiative comes from the company Moitok, while the equipment is supplied by Parus Elektro, which is part of the state corporation Rosatom.

The central heating supply units are already connected to the power grid, and parking spaces are available nearby. This allows for the installation of charging stations in residential areas without the need for separate infrastructure for connections. According to the press department of Rosatom, this facilitates the use of electric vehicles.

This step is seen as a measure to promote electric vehicles in urban areas. By placing charging stations in residential neighborhoods, the conditions for wider acceptance of electric cars among the population are expected to be created.
