NASA astronauts Anil Menon and Jessica Meir completed a 6.5-hour spacewalk outside the International Space Station (ISS). The mission focused on installing mounting hardware necessary for the future addition of solar arrays.
During the spacewalk, Meir and Menon worked on preparations that will enable the installation of new rollout solar arrays. These arrays are intended to enhance energy production to support the operation of the space station.
The spacewalk was part of ongoing efforts by NASA to ensure the ISS remains equipped for its energy needs, facilitating scientific research conducted in the microgravity environment. Videos of the spacewalk were made available to the public, showcasing the astronauts' work.
