Sophie Adenot leads her third spacewalk in three weeks
Sophie Adenot embarks on her third spacewalk alongside a female partner for various maintenance tasks aboard the ISS.

Sophie Adenot, a French astronaut, is set to carry out her third extravehicular activity on Tuesday, September 1. This spacewalk is part of a series of three outings within three weeks.
The first two spacewalks were conducted with American astronaut Anil Menon. This time, Adenot will be joined by Jessica Meir, marking a significant event with an all-female duo.
During this spacewalk, which is expected to last about six hours, several maintenance tasks will be performed. This includes replacing a retroreflector and preparing a particle detector, according to reports from the science community.

This series of highly frequent spacewalks highlights the sustained activity around the International Space Station (ISS), where significant work is being carried out outside.
The decision to form an entirely female team for this mission underscores advancements in the field of space exploration and showcases the skills of women in this sector.
