The Negeri Sembilan government has suspended the state secretary, Zafir Ibrahim, and the state legal adviser amid ongoing tensions related to a royal dispute. This decision was made during a special meeting of the state executive council chaired by Menteri Besar Ismail Lasim.

Despite the suspension reported by some sources, the Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar stated that the state secretary and legal adviser remain in their positions and must continue with their duties. The differing reports suggest confusion regarding the actual status of the officials involved.

The royal dispute in Negeri Sembilan has intensified, leading to two individuals claiming the throne, creating a challenging legal and political scenario. The conflicting narratives surrounding the royal tussle have also sparked considerable discussion on social media, where citizens are suggesting various humorous solutions.

Alongside these events, police have announced they are investigating the royal dispute from all angles. Home Minister has emphasized the importance of examining the situation thoroughly given the significant tensions surrounding the royal institution in the state.

In addition to the suspensions and ongoing investigations, recent actions have seen the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan formally revoke the appointments of ten exco members, which includes a mix of members from different political parties such as Umno, MCA, PAS, and Wawasan. This revocation has further complicated the political landscape in Negeri Sembilan.

The Minister Besar is now calling for an immediate review of the orders regarding the suspended exco members, raising questions about the rationale behind the suspensions and their implications for the governance of the state.
