Number of passengers at Portuguese airports falls 0.2% in June
Portuguese airports handled 7.1 million passengers in June, a reduction of 0.2% compared to the previous year, according to INE.

In June 2023, Portuguese airports recorded the movement of 7.1 million passengers, marking a decrease of 0.2% compared to the same month last year, according to the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
This decline follows a record high in the five previous months, which culminated in a 2.5% increase in passenger numbers during the first half of the year, totaling 35.341 million. The data was released by INE.
This performance at the airports reflects a trend of fluctuation in tourism and aviation in Portugal, which has seen various peaks and declines throughout the year. The June figures highlight the possibility of stabilization in the sector's recovery.
