Pavana, private funeral for Francesco Guccini

Francesco Guccini's funeral was held in a strictly private setting in Pavana, in the province of Pistoia, the day after his death at the age of 86. The ceremony took place at the singer-songwriter's home and was attended by relatives and close friends of the family.

After the ceremony, the coffin was transferred to the crematorium in Borgo Panigale for cremation. In respect for the artist, a day of mourning was declared in the cities of Modena and Bologna.

Many fans participated in a pilgrimage to pay tribute to Guccini, bringing flowers and recalling moments related to his music, such as the famous line "I’m not crying, a locomotive has entered my eye."
