On Friday, a popular assembly of the Porto camp gathered approximately 200 people to discuss the next steps for the movement. During the meeting, the group considered the proposal of a meeting with the mayor, Pedro Duarte, but did not reach a decision on the matter.

The assembly also decided to organize a new march, scheduled to depart from Praça da Batalha at 4:00 PM on Saturday. This action aims to continue the struggle for visibility and the rights of the camping movement.

The camp had already established a presence at Praça D. João I, where they began setting up tents earlier. The goal is to secure a space for protest and promote community participation in ongoing discussions.

In addition to the assembly of the camp, open letters directed at the mayor of Porto, Pedro Duarte, were sent by activists, including Isabel Oliveira and Sérgio Aires, a former councilor. These documents express concerns related to the situation of the camp and request dialogue with the municipal authorities.

The messages in the documents address the necessity of finding solutions to the challenges faced by those camping. The sending of open letters reflects an attempt to create a communication channel with local authorities, highlighting the determination to seek understanding.

Upcoming events, including Saturday's march, may influence the future of the camp and its relationship with the City Hall. However, the progression of discussions and responses from the authorities remain uncertain.
