Aldi is set to sell reproductions of a piece of art by Princess Delphine on Saturday. The supermarket chain announced this initiative in its weekly flyer, stating that the artwork will be available for purchase at 24.99 euros.

The artworks are based on a mural by Princess Delphine, who clarifies that these are reproductions and not original pieces. She has expressed her dissatisfaction with the terminology used by Aldi, labeling the product as a poster.

Princess Delphine is 'deeply outraged' by the misleading description in the flyer and has made it known on social media that she does not sell her art through a supermarket. She emphasizes that such a narrative is misrepresented and calls for respect for the significance of her project.

In Aldi's promotion, not only is the artwork featured, but also the participation of other chains like Carrefour, which is giving away a gold bar worth 120,000 euros as part of their campaign. According to retail experts, the aim of these promotions is to bridge the gap between customers and the supermarket.

In response to the uproar, Princess Delphine has stated that art should be accessible, but suggests that sales should take place in a gallery rather than a supermarket. She advocates for a proper presentation of her artistic expressions.

There are reports of an adjustment to the Aldi flyer, where the product's designation may be corrected to clarify that it is a reproduction and not original art.
