Ravenna has launched the celebrations for the 705th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri with the Settembre Dantesco, an event dedicated to the Supreme Poet.
The commemorative practices include readings from the Divine Comedy and an oil ceremony that will take place in front of his tomb, continuing the tradition of honoring this important figure in Italian literature.
