Seventy migrants rescued, seven dead in shipwreck
Emergency's ship spotted a boat with 50 migrants, including minors, in the Mediterranean.

Today, a ship from Emergency rescued a boat in international waters off the Libyan SAR zone, reporting seven dead. On board were 50 migrants, of whom 29 were unaccompanied minors, coming from Somalia and Egypt. The boat had departed on August 16 from Zuwara and was spotted in the morning.
In another operation, the ship Humanity 1, a German NGO, will dock tomorrow in Ravenna with 73 migrants. These events highlight the ongoing migration crisis in the Mediterranean and the commitment of NGOs in rescue operations.
