A Russian attack in Kyiv results in one fatality and damages the Northern Bridge over the Dnipro River, as the city’s mayor confirms the reports.

A Russian aerial attack in Kyiv today resulted in at least one death and caused significant damage to the Northern Bridge over the Dnipro River, according to information released by local sources.
Russian forces targeted the Northern Bridge in Kyiv for the second time in less than 24 hours, as reported by the city’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, who confirmed the destruction and the disruption of activities in the area.
In addition to the fatality, the attack also injured two people and caused extensive damage to the trolleybus line, leading to the suspension of transport services crossing the Dnipro, one of Ukraine's main rivers.

Images capturing the moment of impact show a significant explosion, raising smoke over the structure of the bridge, which had already been targeted in previous bombings, including an attack on the Southern Bridge a few days ago.
The attack was recorded while German Chancellor Friedrich Merz was visiting the Ukrainian capital to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky, highlighting the importance of the ongoing events in the city.
This series of attacks on Kyiv's bridges marks an escalation of the situation, with Russian forces retreating and targeting critical infrastructure in the city, with a total of three documented bridge attacks in recent weeks.
