According to reports, airstrikes by Saudi Arabia on the city of Mokha in Yemen have resulted in six fatalities. The Houthis, who control the city, have stated that these strikes occur daily as part of the ongoing conflict in the region.

The renewed Saudi military efforts come amid increased pressure following the Houthis' recent capture of strategic positions along Yemen's Red Sea coast. This offensive aims to seize vital territories, including Mokha, which is crucial for both local control and maritime access.

In response to the Houthi advances, the G7 foreign ministers have condemned the group's strikes against Saudi Arabia and called for an immediate cessation of hostilities. They have labeled the Houthis' actions as unacceptable, urging the Iran-backed fighters to halt any attacks against the Kingdom.

Additionally, reports indicate that Saudi Arabia is resuming oil exports through its East-West Pipeline after operations were briefly halted due to prior drone attacks. The country plans to restart exports from the Red Sea port of Yanbu, suggesting an attempt to stabilize its economy amidst ongoing military engagements.

The tension in the region continues to escalate, with the G7 emphasizing the need for international support to deter Houthi aggression. This includes military and logistical assistance to bolster Saudi defenses against drone and missile threats emanating from Yemen.

While Saudi Arabia intensifies its airstrikes and military operations, the humanitarian situation in Yemen remains dire, exacerbated by the ongoing conflict. There have been widespread calls for peace negotiations, but the path forward remains challenging as both sides engage in military actions.
