The border between Ceuta and Morocco is facing a serious crisis, marked by an increase in migration and social tensions that have intensified since the pandemic. In the city, home to four cultures, there is a longing for the times when crossing into Morocco was easier and smoother.
According to the Moroccan Association for Human Rights, the death toll on both sides of the border has reached 141. This figure is the result of the collection of official data, as well as information from hospital morgues and humanitarian organizations.
