South Korea landslide kills one as heavy rains impact southern regions
A landslide in Geoje, South Gyeongsang province, buried a residential building after heavy rains, leading to one fatality.

Heavy rains caused significant flooding in southern South Korea, leading to a landslide that struck a residential apartment building in Geoje, South Gyeongsang province. The landslide buried the first floor of the building after areas recorded up to 800mm of rain according to reports.
Rescue efforts resulted in three residents being pulled from the debris, but one individual was later pronounced dead at a hospital. The incident occurred amid severe weather affecting large areas of East and Southeast Asia.
