On Sunday, August 23, Buenos Aires will host the 21K Half Marathon, an event that will gather more than 31,000 runners, including elite international athletes. Activities will begin at 4:00 a.m., and a large participation of athletes is expected with a renewed route through the city.

According to reports, a traffic operation will be implemented affecting several avenues and streets. From Saturday to Sunday, there will be restrictions on vehicle circulation, resulting in necessary detours and closures to ensure the safety of the runners.

Among the roads that will be closed are key access points and crossings in different areas of the city, as scheduled by local authorities. This is part of the usual protocol carried out for such large events.

The race will feature a staggered start scheme and new medals for the participants, reflecting an effort to surpass previous attendance and competitive levels. The organization of the event is designed to manage the large influx of runners and attendees.

In addition to the traffic closures, it has been noted that Ethiopian athlete Yomif Kejelcha will be one of the highlighted participants. With an unusual height of 1.85 meters, his participation has generated interest in the long-distance running community, especially in a high-profile event like this.

Finally, the organizers have urged citizens to consider the diversions and plan their routes, avoiding areas affected by the closures during the weekend.
