On Sunday, three active forest fires were reported in the municipalities of Chaves and Boticas, located in the Vila Real district. The fire in Ventozelo, one of the affected areas, began around 8:26 PM on Saturday and is still being fought by personnel on the ground.

According to available information, around 10:45 AM, approximately 170 personnel and 55 vehicles were at the site working to combat the fire in Ventozelo. The situation at this fire appears to be yielding to the firefighting resources deployed.

In addition to Ventozelo, the other fires in Chaves and Boticas are also being monitored, with a significant number of firefighters involved in their containment. The extent and severity of these fires are continuously being assessed.
