United Kingdom Sends Fighter Jets and Military Advisors to Support Saudi Arabia
The UK will increase military support for Saudi Arabia by sending Typhoon jets and military advisors.

The UK Ministry of Defence announced on Tuesday that it will send Typhoon fighter jets from the Royal Air Force (RAF) to Saudi Arabia. This move aims to support the country's defense against attacks from the Houthi rebel group in Yemen, which has been conducting offensives using drones and missiles against Saudi targets.
In addition to sending the jets, the UK also plans to dispatch military advisors to help ensure the security of Saudi cities. The decision follows a significant increase in Houthi attacks in populated areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, raising growing concerns about national security.
British Defence Secretary Wes Streeting confirmed that the air operations will be categorized as defensive missions. These patrols aim to protect Saudi sovereignty and minimize risks to the civilian population as a result of Houthi offensives.

Government sources indicate that the military alliance between the UK and Saudi Arabia has strengthened in recent years, particularly in response to Iran's increasing involvement in the conflict. British assistance has focused on providing resources and strategic support to counterbalance Iran's influence in the region.
The decision to send military support is part of a broader UK strategy to ensure stability in the Middle East. However, the Egyptian government has delayed a vote on military support for Saudi Arabia, highlighting the political complexities involved in the region.
The UK's announcement comes at a time when the international community is closely watching the developments in the Yemen conflict and the Saudi military response. Ongoing operations aim not only to defend Saudi territory but also to prevent an escalation of violence in the region.
