Warnings of extreme heat in Peru with temperatures reaching up to 36 °C

Senamhi warns of high temperatures in Peru, with lows of up to 20 °C during the early morning.

The National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (Senamhi) has issued a warning for extreme heat in several regions of the country, where temperatures are expected to reach as high as 36 °C. The alerts also extend to the capital, where early morning lows will reach up to 20 or 22 °C in some areas.

This high temperature situation includes fifteen autonomous communities, according to reports from Aemet, which has activated notices to manage the effects of heat on the population. Citizens are advised to take precautions in light of the rising temperatures.
