The municipality of Almada, located in the district of Setúbal, will end the alert status for water supply failures this Monday. This measure was issued on July 8 in response to several service interruptions that affected various areas, including Costa da Caparica.

The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services (SMAS) of Almada reported that reservoir levels remain above 70%, allowing for more effective management of the situation and ongoing monitoring.

The alert status was extended until August 31 due to prolonged failures, raising concerns in several communities, particularly in the most affected areas.

The decision to lift the alert results from a positive assessment of the current state of the water supply and the capacity of infrastructure to respond.

The SMAS continues to monitor the situation to ensure that the water supply remains stable and to minimize future interruptions.

The lifting of the alert is seen as a significant improvement in the quality of service provided to the population of Almada, which has faced challenges in supply over the past weeks.
