Wesley Batista Filho to Become Global CEO of JBS Starting in 2027

JBS, recognized as the world's largest meat producer, announced on Monday, October 10, that Wesley Batista Filho will take on the role of global CEO starting in January 2027. Wesley Batista Filho will succeed Gilberto Tomazoni, who will leave the position after eight years of leadership at the company.

Wesley Batista Filho, 34, began his career at JBS in 2011 when he joined as a trainee in the beef unit in Greeley, Colorado, USA. Since then, he has gained significant experience in factory operations and later returned to São Paulo to work in the beef export division.

After the transition, Gilberto Tomazoni will take on a new role as vice-chairman of the board of directors at JBS and will also serve as a senior advisor within the company. This change marks the return of a member of the Batista family to the top position at JBS, reflecting a family tradition in the management of the company.

JBS is a global leader in the food sector, with a significant presence in various protein product categories, including beef, pork, and poultry.
