Worker dies and another is rescued after building collapse in Sariñena
A worker has died and another has been rescued following the collapse of a building under construction in Sariñena, Huesca.
On Thursday, a building under construction collapsed on Fatás Street in Sariñena, Huesca province, at 12:00 PM. The incident involved three construction workers. According to reports, one of them has died while another worker was found injured among the debris and subsequently rescued by emergency services.
Rescue operations are being conducted by the fire teams from the Provincial Council of Huesca, as well as from the municipalities of Zaragoza and Huesca. The Civil Guard has also participated in these efforts.
The third trapped worker managed to exit on his own and was taken to a hospital for medical attention. Authorities reported that no more people are believed to be under the rubble of the collapsed building.
