BJP Alleges Congress Paid Influencers for Rahul Gandhi's Pune Event
The BJP has accused the Congress of paying influencers to promote Rahul Gandhi’s upcoming event in Pune, sharing an alleged video of this arrangement.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has raised allegations against the Congress regarding Rahul Gandhi's forthcoming event in Pune. The BJP claims that the Congress is paying social media influencers to attend and promote the event, with offers reported to be around ₹25,000, according to multiple sources.
A purported video, shared by the BJP, allegedly shows a conversation where a Congress worker invites an influencer to attend the event and create promotional content. This has raised questions about the authenticity of the support for Gandhi, as it suggests that financial incentives are being used to draw attendees, rather than genuine public interest.
In a separate claim, reports indicate that some influencers were offered between ₹30,000 to ₹35,000 to not only attend but also cover their travel expenses while promoting the event online. The variations in reported amounts suggest differing accounts regarding the financial aspects of the arrangement.

Additionally, BJP leaders have accused the Congress of attempting to fill the venue by bringing in students via college buses, asserting that the event has been transformed into a political gathering under the guise of a student-centric program.
In response to these allegations, the Congress has dismissed the BJP's claims as unfounded and characterized the accusations as a reflection of the ruling party's own insecurities. The Congress contends that the BJP's focus on such issues indicates a lack of confidence in their own standing and outreach.
The allegations come as Rahul Gandhi prepares for a public appearance that is expected to draw significant attention, and they highlight the ongoing tensions between the two political parties ahead of upcoming events.
