The contest for the Maranhão governorship in 2026 features eight candidates who began their campaign agendas on Monday (17). Candidates' commitments include interviews, recordings, and meetings with voters, aiming to present proposals and garner support during the election period.
Candidates André Luis (Missão), Orleans Brandão (MDB), and Reginaldo Lima (PCB) fulfilled commitments in São Luís and in the interior of the state, where they presented proposals focused on public management and administrative efficiency.

Today, the electoral campaign encompasses a variety of activities, including meetings with political leaders and visits to communities. Four of the candidates also participated in events related to public health, highlighting the importance of this area in their electoral proposals.
During the events, all candidates are focused on mobilizing supporters and presenting their ideas for the state. Communication with voters through social media has also intensified, reflecting a modern campaign strategy.
Additionally, the campaign aligns with the criteria set by the Electoral Justice, which regulates the period and methods of advertising, aiming to ensure equality among candidates during the contest.
