The Competition Authority (AdC) announced that it does not oppose the acquisition of FBO Motors Sports by FXRS Motor. According to the entity, the notified concentration operation is not expected to create significant obstacles to effective competition in the national market.

In a public statement, the AdC explained that it decided against opposition in considering that the acquisition does not pose a risk to competition in Portugal. This assessment is based on an evaluation of the operation's impact on the vehicle distribution market.

FBO Motors Sports is responsible for marketing the Ferrari brand in Portugal, which makes the transaction noteworthy in the automotive sector. FXRS Motor, on the other hand, is an expanding company aiming to consolidate its presence in this specific market segment.

The AdC's decision reflects a regulatory approach that seeks to promote a competitive environment, ensuring that concentration operations can occur without compromising competition.

With the authorization granted, FXRS Motor will be able to proceed with the acquisition of FBO Motors Sports, which may have implications for the dynamics of the luxury car market in Portugal.
