Fire on tourist boat off Fethiye – 115 people escape into the sea

A tourist boat operating off the coast of the Turkish resort town of Fethiye caught fire. According to the state news agency Anadolu, 115 people, including children and crew members, jumped into the water wearing life jackets to secure their safety.

The circumstances of the fire remain unclear. The fire department and the coast guard quickly arrived on the scene to assist those rescued. Numerous nearby boats were mobilized to help with the rescue operation.
