Naïm Qassem, leader of Hezbollah in Lebanon, reiterated on Friday that the movement rejects the framework agreement established between Lebanon and Israel. Qassem stated that the organization, which has suffered from instability due to two wars with Israeli forces, will not surrender.

During a speech broadcast by Al-Manar television, Qassem labeled the June agreement as 'illegitimate and humiliating,' appealing for the population to work towards its collapse. He expressed that the group strongly opposes the agreement, viewing it as a violation of the rights of the Lebanese people.

Furthermore, Qassem publicly rejected the pilot zones and the verification commission associated with the agreement. This underscores Hezbollah's ongoing resistance to accepting any understanding that they consider detrimental to Lebanon's interests and their own agenda.

The southern region of Lebanon has reportedly faced increased fighting, with over a thousand projectiles fired in the past seven days. This uptick in military activity comes amid rising tensions between Hezbollah and Israeli authorities.

Hezbollah, backed by Iran, has faced significant challenges since its previous wars with Israel but reaffirms its determination not to accept the terms proposed in the agreement. The movement’s rhetoric suggests a continuation of confrontations and a volatile environment in the region.

The opposition to the framework agreement and Hezbollah's insistence on not surrendering highlight a complex situation in Lebanon, where issues of legitimacy and rights continue to be sources of conflict among the various parties involved.
