Liberals win by-elections in three federal ridings
Political parties faced off in by-elections, with the Liberals claiming victory in all three ridings.

By-elections were held in three Canadian ridings: North Vancouver–Capilano, Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, and Beaches–East York. Voters in these areas went to the polls on Monday evening to elect their representatives.
The Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) achieved a notable success, securing victory in each of the ridings. According to Radio-Canada, Liberal candidate Daniel Gobeil was elected in the Chicoutimi–Le Fjord riding.

The Liberals' victory has been described as a sweep, with the LPC garnering over half of the votes in Chicoutimi–Le Fjord, surpassing the Conservative Party, as reported by La Presse and Le Journal de Montréal.
Mark Carney, leader of the Liberal Party, stated after the victory that the message from voters was clear. He also highlighted the importance of relations with the U.S. government in light of future negotiations.
