EasyJet cabin crew will hold scheduled strikes from October 2 to 6 and from December 19 to 23. According to a dispatch from the Directorate-General for Employment and Labor Relations (DGERT), these periods will have minimum services.

The minimum services will include flights from Lisbon, Porto, and Faro to several European cities, as well as to the Madeira islands, including Funchal and Porto Santo, and also to Cape Verde.

The definition of minimum services is a measure aimed at ensuring the continuity of some essential flights during the announced strikes. The DGERT dispatch specifies the minimum rotations that must be maintained.

Furthermore, the context of the strikes at easyJet coincides with frequent labor disputes in the aviation sector, where working conditions and wage demands have been recurring topics in negotiations between unions and employers.

The DGERT, in response to the call for strikes, believes that the stipulation of minimum services is necessary to mitigate disruptions in air services during the strike periods. The measure aims to balance workers' rights with the need to ensure services to the public.

Discussions about resolving the points of conflict between easyJet and its employees are ongoing, as the parties involved seek a solution to avoid significant flight disruptions. Additional details about the strike will be monitored as the dates approach.
