NASA launches Nancy Grace Roman telescope to study the universe
NASA launched the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on Sunday to study dark matter and exoplanets.

NASA launched the Nancy Grace Roman Telescope on Sunday from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This new space telescope is designed to conduct in-depth research into the universe, with a special focus on dark matter and dark energy.
The launch took place aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket and was nearly a year ahead of schedule. The project is an investment of over $4 billion and has been in development for more than a decade.
The Roman telescope is equipped with an infrared sensor capable of capturing large images of the universe. This allows scientists to study new exoplanets and supernovae.

According to a statement from NASA, the solar panels and sunshade of the telescope were also successfully deployed, a process that occurred approximately one hour and 23 minutes after launch.
The mission of the telescope is aimed at gaining a better understanding of the nature of dark matter and energy, and answering the question of why the universe continues to expand. This research could enhance our understanding of the structure and evolution of the universe.
Scientists expect that the data collected by the Roman telescope will play a crucial role in advancing cosmology. The telescope represents a significant step in exploring the unknown and may lead to new discoveries.
