Norwegian prince Sverre Magnus to study in Lisbon

Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway, son of Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit, will study Business Management at Forward College in Lisbon. His stay in the Portuguese capital will last a year, following the example of Spain's Infanta Sofia, who will head to Paris for her studies.

As Sverre Magnus prepares for his new academic adventure in Lisbon, his sister, Ingrid Alexandra, has different plans. Reports indicate that Ingrid will leave Sydney and attend the University of Oslo.

Sverre Magnus's decision to study in Lisbon was announced as a way to continue his education outside Norway, in an international and diverse environment. His stay in Portugal is part of a program promoting educational exchanges among youth from various nationalities.

This academic move comes at a time when the Norwegian royal family is facing personal challenges, particularly concerning Princess Mette-Marit’s health, as she underwent a transplant in June. Being close to family in Oslo may be a priority for Ingrid.
