Parties submit over 2,800 amendments to the State Budget 2027
Parties have submitted more than 2,800 amendments to the State Budget for 2027, reaching a new historical high.

Today, the last day for submitting proposals regarding the State Budget for 2027 (OE2027), parties submitted a total of 2,847 amendments, according to information available on the Assembleia da República website.
The proposals reflect a wide range of concerns, particularly focusing on housing issues, which dominated discussions involving the government and smaller parties, as reported by several sources.
Among the submitted proposals, the Chega party was responsible for 712 amendments, while the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP) submitted 653. These parties contributed the most to this year's increase in the number of amendments.

Throughout the day, the Executive met with the parties to discuss their proposals and concerns, especially regarding housing-related measures.
This year marks a record in the number of proposals submitted, exceeding the total recorded in the previous year, according to data available until 9:30 PM on the deadline day.
The proposals were received and discussed in the context of intense legislative debate, where each party presented its views and suggestions for the OE2027.
