Pichetto: Need for Prevention Against Climate Change

The Minister of Environment, Pichetto, emphasized the need to strengthen prevention and adaptation measures in response to climate change. During a speech, he noted that Italy is located in one of the areas most vulnerable to the effects of these changes, known as the Mediterranean hot spot.

Pichetto also referred to the water situation in the country, stating that the government is closely monitoring the current drought crisis. Concerns over water resources arise in the context of rising temperatures and extreme weather events.
