Police in Turnhout seizes 34 e-scooters and fatbikes from traffic

The police of the Turnhout region has confiscated 34 e-scooters and fatbikes in recent days. These vehicles did not comply with the prevailing traffic regulations.

According to reports, half of these seizures took place during the first fair weekend in Turnhout, a time when the city is busy and lively.

During a targeted check for traffic disturbances, 17 vehicles were also seized that were behaving dangerously at the fair, despite an existing ban.

Mayor Hannes Anaf (Vooruit) has expressed his concerns about the situation and noted that such behaviors create a sense of impunity.
