Portuguese ambassador rules out mass return of Portuguese due to earthquakes

The Portuguese ambassador in Venezuela, Frederico Silva, dismissed the possibility of a mass return of Portuguese to Portugal as a result of the earthquakes that occurred in June. Silva made this statement during an interview, emphasizing that the situation for Portuguese citizens remains stable.
According to the ambassador, there have only been 'a very small number' of repatriations following the earthquakes, but the majority of the Portuguese community in Venezuela continues to live in the country with no plans to return.
Additionally, Cáritas expressed gratitude for the support offered by Portugal after the earthquakes, demonstrating solidarity and assistance to the victims of the natural disaster.
