Results of the first round of the 2026 elections announced in São Paulo
g1 Santos and other outlets reported the results of the first round of the 2026 elections in various cities.

On Sunday, October 4, the results of the first round of elections for several positions in various municipalities of São Paulo were announced. According to g1 Santos, the results include elections for President, Governor, Senator, Federal Deputy, and State Deputy. The system used by Globo presents the official data from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) automatically.
Reports covered the results in 20 municipalities in the Vale do Ribeira, a region in the interior of the state. Meanwhile, g1 also reported the results in 9 municipalities in Baixada Santista, located on the São Paulo coast.
On the same day, two supplementary elections were scheduled in Paraná. In Santana do Itararé, citizens will vote to elect a new mayor and vice-mayor, with the date set for October 25, coinciding with the second round of the presidential elections. Additionally, São João and Chopinzinho will participate in a plebiscite on the same day.

On the other hand, a new Datafolha survey regarding voting intentions for the second round of the presidential elections, which will take place between Lula (PT) and Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), was also released. The results of the survey will be announced on Thursday, October 15, starting at 6:30 PM, along with a live stream commenting on the data.
Furthermore, other surveys such as BTG/Nexus and PoderData/AYA were published, updating the numbers related to voting intentions for the two candidates competing for the presidency. These surveys showed differences in the margins of error, standing at two percentage points and 1.8 points, respectively.
Flávio Bolsonaro also commented that the current Governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas, had initially expected to run for president before his son was chosen as a candidate. However, Tarcísio has always publicly denied this intention.
