The Ministry of Transport has sent the operators the new sanctions table provided for by the Road Code. This document, currently under consultation, contains updates on fine amounts and new offenses introduced.

Among the most significant changes is the increase in the fine for violating the obligation of compulsory car insurance, which will now rise to €1,000. This measure has been discussed with sector associations.

The new sanctions table will be the subject of discussions between the Ministry, industry operators, and associations, aiming to reach an agreement on upcoming provisions regarding road safety.
